Dancers Who Need Your Sponsorship Assistance

The following dancers are set for promotion to a paid position within the company, but we/they need YOUR help to make their dream happen. Consider taking on a dancer sponsorship or donating the funds needed to sponsor them for a half or full season of compensation!

Elinor Polanski

I’m Elinor Polanski, a dancer from Berkley, Michigan, where my journey in ballet began with intensive training in the Cecchetti method. That foundation carried me to Butler University, where I graduated cum laude with high distinction in May 2023, earning my B.S. in Dance–Arts Administration. Along the way, I’ve had the joy of performing principal roles in beloved classics—like the Snow Princess and Angel Soloist in The Nutcracker, the Spanish Princess in Swan Lake, and George Balanchine’s Serenade.

Now in my third season with Canyon Concert Ballet, I hold fast to the understanding that classical ballet is both a rigorous pursuit of excellence and a legacy worth protecting. This art form asks for dedication, precision, and unwavering support, and I’m proud to contribute to a company that is preserving and advancing it. To all who invest in ballet’s future—know that your belief in this work makes it possible for dancers like me to continue carrying its beauty forward.

Esther Gowin

“I’m Esther Gowin, a dancer from Northwest Arkansas, where I began my professional journey with Northwest Arkansas Ballet Theatre in 2017. I advanced from Apprentice to Company Member, performing in classics like The Nutcracker and Cinderella, as well as contemporary works such as Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye’s Immortal Beloved and Petit Seat. I also had the opportunity to understudy and perform works by guest choreographers Gillmer Durán, Jennifer Owen, and Stephanie Martinez. In 2022, I began freelancing with local companies, appearing as a guest artist in The Firebird, The Nutcracker, and Snow White. In 2023, I moved to Northern Colorado to join Canyon Concert Ballet, where I’ve performed in Dracula, Romeo & Juliet, Giselle, Rite of Spring, and Val Caniparoli’s Swipe.

Now in my third season with Canyon Concert Ballet, I know firsthand how vital community support is to a dancer’s journey. Classical ballet demands discipline, artistry, and perseverance, but it also requires a foundation of encouragement and investment. By supporting our company, you are not only helping dancers like me pursue our craft—you are also ensuring that this art form continues to thrive and inspire future generations.”
