Performance Intensive: Alice in Wonderland

Step into the studio—and onto the stage—with Canyon Concert Ballet. This audition-only, two-week intensive is open to Ballet 4+ dancers or dancers ages 12 and up and is designed for students eager to deepen their training through an integrated, real-time professional ballet experience. Students will take daily technique classes and participate in rehearsals led by Artistic Director Michael Pappalardo.

The intensive culminates in a thrilling professional performance series of Alice in Wonderland, where selected students will share the stage with our professional company in this imaginative premiere at the Lincoln Center. This rare opportunity allows young artists to fully immerse themselves in a full-length professional production, bringing Lewis Carroll’s fantastical characters to life before a live audience.

Perform all year round.

Many CCB students have unique opportunities to gain performing experience through the CCB Company productions. Dozens of younger students are featured in our many performances of The Nutcracker each holiday season, presented on the Lincoln Center Main Stage each year.

The opportunity to perform to live music presented by The Fort Collins Symphony, under the direction of Maestro Wes Kenney, is unique to dancers at Canyon Concert Ballet.

In addition, all students are welcome to participate in the Spring Student Showcase held each June on the Lincoln Center Performance Hall stage.

Intermediate and Advanced students may also perform in our Spring Ballet, Youth Ensemble, MAP, and at a variety of public Community Events and private Patron Events.

In the past 10 years alone, students have joined U.S. Ballet companies and gone on to further their dance education at Colorado State University, Mesa State University, University Colorado – Boulder, and Boston Ballet.

CCB’s influence extends beyond the footlights: alumni currently work in a variety of professional fields including law, business, and healthcare, and many have become entrepreneurs who own dance academies, retail stores and more!
