Celebrating the Art of Dance: Support Canyon Concert Ballet on International Dance Day
Today, on International Dance Day, we honor the universal language of movement that transcends borders and unites communities. As we celebrate the transformative power of dance, it's an opportune moment to spotlight Canyon Concert Ballet (CCB), Northern Colorado's premier dance organization, and their ongoing efforts to enrich the cultural fabric of the region.
A Legacy of Excellence and Community Engagement
Founded in 1979 by Carole Torguson, CCB has been a cornerstone of the Fort Collins arts community. Over the past 45 years, the organization has grown into the only full-time professional ballet company in Northern Colorado, offering exceptional dance training and performances that inspire audiences of all ages.
Under the artistic leadership of Michael Pappalardo, who joined as Artistic Director in 2022, CCB has expanded its repertoire with groundbreaking productions such as "Dracula," "Snow White," "1984," and "The Picture of Dorian Gray." The company's commitment to innovation and excellence continues to elevate the art of dance in the region.
The Masterpieces Fundraiser: Investing in the Future of Dance
In just a few weeks, we’ll launch our brand-new season, Masterpieces — a celebration of iconic works and bold new creations that will light up the stage like never before.
To kick things off, we’re aiming to raise $10,000 — and we have some exciting news:
One generous patron has agreed to match the first $5,000 in donations, dollar for dollar. That means your gift goes twice as far!
Donations to the fundraiser will directly impact CCB's ability to produce world-class ballet and contemporary dance performances, including upcoming productions like "Romeo and Juliet," "The Crucible," "Giselle," and "Innovation." Additionally, funds will help expand access to dance education through scholarships and community outreach programs
