Youth Development Program
T
he programs at Canyon Concert Dance Center (CCDC) provide youth of all ages, strengths and abilities with the opportunity to experience the overwhelming benefits of the arts. Each program offers a variety of levels and classes such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop.

Pre-School Program
Students ages 3-6 with little or no dance experience may choose from classes appropriate for their age and level of development, in Creative Movement, Children’s Ballet and Tap 1, 2, & 3, and Boys dance classes.

Children's Dance Program
Students ages 7+ may enroll in Ballet classes based on the syllabus, and/or may also select from classes in Tap, Hip-Hop, as well as Boys’ Dance. Students ages 8+ may enroll in Jazz. Students 9+ may also enroll in modern and/or lyrical. Students may choose to
attend one or more classes per week.

General Dance Program
For students ages 9 and up, this program is based on the Russian Classical Ballet methodology and follows a syllabus that ensures a sound basis and cohesive progression through the levels of study. Students are assessed bi-annually for advancement.

The emphasis of the Dance Program is on developing strength and accuracy in order to prevent injury, as well as instilling the artistic aspects of ballet. CCDC offers levels 1 through 7 in the Pre-Professional Program.

Dance for Life Program
This program is designed for recreational dancers of all ages. Instruction focuses on fitness, flexibility and fun. This program encourages participation in a variety of dance genres including adult ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip-hop. The Dance for Life Program advocates a continuing appreciation for the arts.
