LONDYN BARRETT
Senior Company
(Colorado) Londyn began dancing around age 17 and then left for school a year later. Instantly instilled with a love for dance, she came back to Colorado two years later to resume dancing. After getting her B.A. in Linguistics in 2006, Londyn moved to Fort Collins to work for a M.A. in French at CSU. The most rewarding aspect of the move, however, has been the opportunity to dance with CCB.

THERESA BORAK
Senior Company
(Fort Collins, Colorado) Theresa Borak has been teaching at CCDC since 2001 and she has a long history here performing in many seasons of The Nutcracker as well as other productions. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota with a double BA in modern dance and French. Over the past few years she has had the opportunity to perform and choreograph for multiple regional groups in ballet, jazz, modern, and musical theater.  At the moment she is enjoying the challenges, rewards and friendships that come with dancing at CCB.

Laurel BrubacherLAUREL BRUBACHER
Senior Company

(Memphis, Tennessee) Laurel has been dancing since the age of three and has been a student at CCB since 1991. In 2000 she attended the World Masters at Vail Summer Intensive. She has danced numerous roles in THE NUTCRACKER including Spanish, Arabian, Candy Cane, and Dew Drop Fairy. She also appeared as a soloist in CCB's PAQUITA, CINDERELLA, SNOW WHITE, and as a Big Swan in SWAN LAKE.

EMILY DAVIS
Apprentice I
Emily Davis developed a passion for dance as a little girl. She got most of her dance education from The Dance Club in Utah where she primarily studied Jazz and Ballet. She performed and competed in Jazz. She was also a member of her High School Drill Team. She thanks her husband and children for their love, support and sacrifice so that she can dance.

 

 
KENDRA DAVIS
Apprentice II
(Fort Collins, Colorado)  Kendra has been dancing since the age of three and has always loved it.  She is a sophomore at Fossil Ridge High School and has danced at CCB since the age of 6.  Besides ballet, she loves jazz and lyrical.  Some of her favorite productions have been The Nutcracker, The Wizard of Oz and Across the Tracks.  Kendra would like to thank all of her teachers for helping her get to were she is today and her parents and brother for all their support.

Sidney Dungan is a Poudre High School IB sophomore and is excited to be involved with Impalaphonics and musical theater there.  She has been dancing at CCB since she was three and is thrilled to be performing in her ninth Nutcracker.  She’s loved every role from Page to Chinese Tea.  She also enjoyed jumping on Teal’s back in Across the Tracks.  Sidney appreciates all of the instruction from CCB teachers over the years and would especially like to thank her instructor, Melissa, for reminding her to engage her lower abs every day in class.

SIDNEY DUNGAN
Apprentice I
Sidney Dungan is a Poudre High School IB sophomore and is excited to be involved with Impalaphonics and musical theater there.  She has been dancing at CCB since she was three and is thrilled to be performing in her ninth Nutcracker.  She’s loved every role from Page to Chinese Tea.  She also enjoyed jumping on Teal’s back in Across the Tracks.  Sidney appreciates all of the instruction from CCB teachers over the years and would especially like to thank her instructor, Melissa, for reminding her to engage her lower abs every day in class.

Mackenzie FogelsonMACKENZIE FOGELSON

(Flagstaff, Arizona) Mackenzie began dancing in 1999 during her graduate studies at CSU. Currently, Mackenzie runs her Web company Mack Web Solutions. Mackenzie is excited to share her passion for dance with her daughter Ryan. She would like to thank her husband Jon for his unconditional support and extends a very special thanks to Melissa Corr.

KRISTA GERTIG
Senior Company
(Fort Collins, Colorado) Krista has been dancing at CCB since she was four. She has danced in many CCB productions and thoroughly enjoys being part of The Nutcracker every year. Krista is currently a junior at Rocky Mountain High School and when she is not dancing, she can be found pursuing her other passion of music. She is grateful for all the opportunities she has been given as a dancer and hopes she is able to continue dancing throughout her life.

CONNER HORAK
Apprentice
(Fort Collins, Colorado) Conner Horak was born and raised in Fort Collins, CO. He is 16 and a junior at Fossil Ridge High School. He was first introduced to the stage at the age of 6 in a small local musical theatre/ dance company. While in elementary school, he performed in several local musicals including Tom Sawyer, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Bye Bye Birdie, and High School Musical. 

By the age of 12, Conner also earned his black belt at Karate West A couple years ago, he realized that he wanted to focus on a more professional outlook on dance and Canyon Concert Ballet/ Dance Center was the obvious choice. In his short time at Canyon Concert, he has had the privilege of performing such roles as the Nutcracker Prince and one of a lead gang members in Jessica Freestone's Across the Tracks.  He's been fortunate to study under Melissa Corr, David Taylor, and Jessica Freestone (and, of course, the Yee's at Karate West). His favorite dance styles are ballet and jazz but he is always open to anything new. He is very excited to begin his teaching career at CCB and CCDC. 

AMY HUGHES
Chamber Company

(Lakewood, Colorado) Amy has been performing with CCB since 1993. She received her dance training from Colorado Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Ballet West. Amy is a writing coach at Lincoln Jr. High and teaches ballet classes at Canyon Concert Dance Center. She thanks her students for their enthusiasm and hard work. She thanks her husband Jeffrey, and their two children Brannon and Sadie, for the joy they bring her each day.

LIZ STORY JACKSON
Senior Company

(Baltimore, Maryland) Liz received her initial training at Damascus Dance Centre, where she danced until she was sixteen.  After an eight-year hiatus, Liz returned to ballet through CSU and CCB in 2001.  Liz thanks Melissa, Elena, and David Taylor for their insight and inspiration, and she is particularly grateful to Jessica for allowing her the opportunity to be part of CCB and its shows.  Above all, Liz cannot thank her partner, A.J., enough for all his understanding and support.

LOIS KAISER
Senior Company
(Fort Collins, Colorado) Lois is a junior as Fossil Ridge High School. She has been dancing with Canyon Concert Ballet since the age of four. Lois has performed in many CCB productions and her favorite roles include Chinese and Clara from The Nutcracker. She would like to thank Randy Wray for giving her the opportunity to begin ballet, and her teachers Janet Tanski, Erica Schlei, Amy Hughes, Ixchel Witcher, and Melissa Corr. Lois would also like to give big thanks to her parents for driving her to ballet class and supporting her for all these years.

Rachel Blyth-MarlanRACHAEL MARLAN
Senior Company
(Fort Collins, Colorado)
A native of Fort Collins, Colorado, Rachel is a former student of Canyon Concert Ballet. She attended the Vail International Summer Dance Festival where she studied with teachers from the Bolshoi Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet. She also attended the University of South Carolina Summer Conservatory, Snowy Range Dance Festival, and was an R.A. for the Kansas City Ballet Summer School.

Rachel continued her training with a dance scholarship at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a B.A. in Dance with an emphasis in dance science and dance education. While she was there, she was awarded Departmental Scholar for three years and made the National Dean’s List.

Upon graduation she accepted a position with the Manassas Ballet Theatre, where she performed professionally for three years. While there she focused on the Vaganova syllabus under Russian ballet masters/mistresses. Rachel also taught at various studios in the D.C. area. She is happy to be home again performing and teaching at her old studio!

ERICA MUGOYE
Senior Company
(Loveland, Colorado) Erica has danced at Canyon Concert Ballet for eighteen years, ten years as a Company member and has performed in more than 30 CCB productions.  She is in her nineth year of teaching at Canyon Concert Ballet and Dance Center.  She would like to thank her husband for his support of her dancing.

KIM NORBERG
Apprentice II
Kim Norberg is in her fourth year at Colorado State University, where she is majoring in Dance and Business Management. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in dance performance and education. Her ballet training began at the age of three in the Denver area, where she studied with several schools including Miller’s Dance Studio and the Academy of Colorado Ballet. Locally, she teaches at the Academy of Contemporary Dance Arts in Loveland, and has performed with Dance Theatre of Loveland.

Her favorite ballet is Don Quixote, and she has danced the roles of Dulcinea and Queen of the Dryads as part of the Denver Ballet Guild young dancer’s competition. She has also performed in La Bayadère, Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, and numerous productions of The Nutcracker. This is Kim’s first season with Canyon Concert Ballet, and she is excited for the opportunity to share her passion for ballet with the community. She would like to thank her family for their continued support and encouragement.

Allison RunyanALLISON RUNYAN
Senior Company

(Fort Collins, Colorado) Allison has been dancing for 19 years, at CCB from 1990-1998, dancing roles in the Nutcracker as Clara and the Dew Drop Fairy, as well as many other roles. In 2003 she earned her BA in Art History, and has since danced locally in productions for Dance Connection, Dance Theater of Loveland, and Front Range Musical Theater. Allison enjoys singing as well. She is currently the store manager and buyer for Prima Bodywear.

CLAIRE SNYDER
Senior Company
(Durango, Colorado) Claire Snyder hails from Durango, Colorado where she began her training under the instruction of Shannon Mitchell-Hyatt, and Lisa Bodwalk. While there, she worked with renowned choreographers as, Nancy Cranborn, Brian Fisher, Robert Moses.  She spent summers training at Ballet West Summer Academy, Atlanta Ballet, and Ballet Austin. After Graduating a year early, she went on to train year-round at Ballet West Academy in Salt Lake City.  Prior to joining Canyon Concert Ballet, Claire danced as an apprentice with St. Louis Ballet in various roles in the Nutcracker, Serenade, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty,and Gen Horiuchi's More Morra, along with other original works.  She would like to extend her gratitude to her family for their love and support  

CATHERINE WILLMS
Senior Company
(Chicago, Illinois) Catherine is a junior at Mountain View High School, she began taking ballet classes at the age of 3. This is her 9th year performing in The Nutcracker. She was a member of Midwest Ballet Theatre Company for two years before moving to Colorado. Some of Catherine’s favorite roles have been in Peter Pan, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Ayne Mairead. She would like to thank her parents for all their support and hours spent driving her to dance classes. Catherine is also thankful to God for giving her the gift of dancing.
